ALL we really want is an e a s y life Yes? . . . a smooth way to proceed and here's Isaiah saying . . . No problems . . . leave it to God . . . crazy . . . yes?
But think about it . . . as he made us . . . he knows us . . . knows what's best for us as he is governing, caring for us and guiding us! He knows us inside out!
Perhaps we'd better listen . . . [to our 'gut' feeling]
It's preparing a highway [a fast route] to Home [heaven].
So isn’t it by accentuating our good thoughts that we ‘see’ the right path?
Read what the prophet Isaiah says God wants us to do as it was He who made us!
Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: . . . (Isaiah 40:3–5 Prepare (to :))
So we ought to spot thoughts that lead us to the lanes and deviations . . . to the valleys:- depression, discouragement, and apathy.
Even mountains and hills of self-importance, every hypocrisy flattened . . . questionable, dishonest thoughts and practices ought to be brought into shape. Agreed? Even bitter, stoney experiences are blotted out of memory.
But how do we do this . . . ?
I had a choice the other day . . . I was feeling defeated by someone who I’d been talking with and I was in a ghastly state . . . but one thing I did know was that to get going I needed to feel loving again. That this is my nature so what could I do? A quick thought came to me to express a loving thought to that individual . . . as soon as I did this (by sending 'a text') something changed . . . immediately my thought changed; I’d tapped into a new level of motivation, a new dynamic. I got out of my car and performed an old task in a fresh way, successfully! Amazing!
So I had been led out of a wilderness!
